Puente Application

Learn more about the Statewide PUENTE program here: https://youtu.be/edep2pEwkjw

PUENTE is a 4-year program that REQUIRES a 4-year commitment. Therefore, once admitted, students are expected to participate for all 4 years and will not be able to join any other academy or program.

While we are not requiring letters of rec from a teacher, a letter of recommendation from your current English teacher would be most helpful in helping us make our decisions.  If you are able to get one you can definitely submit one with your documents, in Step 4 of the application process.

PREVIOUS Announcements

We are making every effort to ensure that our students continue to meet the rigorous demands of the Puente Project, including, but not limited to, satisfying the A-G requirements.  Our foremost expectation is that students receive a "C" or better in all of their college prep courses.  Students who are not meeting this requirement will be placed on a contract in hopes of helping them improve their grades.  Students earning at least a 3.0 GPA (cumulative & weighted) in their A-G courses are exempt from this contract.

THOSE WHO CONTINUOUSLY FAIL TO EARN A "C" OR BETTER IN THEIR A-G COURSES WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE PROGRAM INDEFINITELY

Please contact Mrs. Wise if you feel your son or daughter may not be able to meet this requirement.
