www.astrocampsummer.org offers programs in 3d printing, dungeons and dragons, LARP, astronomy, rocketry, welding, blacksmithing, zipline, rock climbing, etc.  Camps are available for students age 8-17.

Boston University

California College of the Arts is offering a Pre-College Program for students who have completed their sophomore, junior, or senior year of high school.  Students who complete these courses will receive 3 units from this college.  Interested students can go to www.cca.edu/precollege for more information

Camp CHLA (Children’s Hospital Los Angeles) will open their application for the summer programs on Jan 13, 2014. Students who are interested in the health field are encouraged to apply. Occidental College is offering "Adventures of the Mind" starting June 15. 2014.  Students who are interested can apply at www.adventuresofthemind.org Our Achievement & Leadership Summits provide students, aged 15 to 18, an opportunity to spend several days meeting, greeting, quizzing, challenging, conversing and dining with a unique faculty of Mentors: astronauts, artists, athletes, dinosaur-wranglers, economists, engineers, entrepreneurs, inventors, MacArthur geniuses, Nobel laureates, poets, programmers, public servants, Pulitzer-winning writers, scientists, scholars and tech titans.

Washington University in St. Louis
is offering high school summer experiences.  Courses of study could include foreign languages, humanities, math and science, and social science classes.  Options in pre-medicine, pre-business, and english are also available.  These programs are five weeks long.  Shorter, two-week sessions are offered in writing, pre-engineering, global leadership, and pre-med.  Fees are high, but the cost covers housing, meals, seminars, social activities, transportation, and books and supplies.  To be eligible students must be sophomores, juniors or seniors with a B+ GPA, and SAT score of 1800 or a PSAT score of 180.  Interested students can go to www.summerexperiences.wustl.edu/courses for more information.
