Financial Aid: FAFSA & CA DREAM ACT
Did you know that by filing a FAFSA or CA Dream Act you can receive money to help pay for college? It's true! If you're thinking of attending a community college, 4-year university, or trade/vocational program you'll file a financial aid application to see how much money you'll receive!
The FAFSA (Free Application for Free Student Aid):
Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen, enroll in a degree or certificate program, and have financial need. There are more eligibility requirements you can find at their website.
Filing period: October 1st-March 2nd
Apply at: https://studentaid.gov/
The CADAA (California DREAM ACT Application):
Must be an undocumented student/ nonresident student not obtaining a social security number or having one through DACA. Filing period: October 1st-March 2nd
Apply at: https://dream.csac.ca.gov/
