Before you begin your final project, you need to watch my notes video on Formal Commands and complete the Cooking Verbs List Activity. Then, you can pick your dish, complete the recipe card on Google Slides, and lastly, you can record your video and then submit everything on Google Classroom. I am also attaching an additional list of food vocabulary in case you might need it! Note that on page 3 of your Instructions, you will also see an additional vocabulary list which will come in handy, especially for the measurements. When you are ready to submit, please submit your video and your recipe card here!

This activity is great practice for you because you will need to use at least 7 formal commands in your cooking video! This Kahoot and your Final Project are the only assignments for the week. Please email me or send me a Remind if you have any questions or need help!

Please watch my video of notes before completing the activity and before starting your Final Project. The focus of your Cooking Show project is to use formal commands, so that is why it is very important that you watch the entire video of notes. Please ask me if you have any questions!

After you have watched the video, please complete the Google Doc activity to practice what I taught you in the video. I have done the first row as an example, so please follow that example for the rest of the activity! If you have any questions, please let me know!

I have linked your new, 5.1 Vocabulary List on the Google Doc. Please answer the questions on the Google Doc first and then open up Adobe Spark to create a presentation with visuals and narration.

Here is your exam on Google Forms and here are the rules:
1. You must log in using your school email and password
2. For written responses: only use lower case letters, spelling counts, accent marks count.
3. You have until Saturday at noon to complete the exam. You do not have to submit anything through Google Classroom, just submit the Google Form.

Use your Notes & Vocabulary (I have posted them here) to complete your study guide. It is very important that you use your notes because there are many grammar concepts that are tricky in this unit. I have noticed many of you are making simple mistakes and I have corrected you through Google Classroom comments. Please make sure you are checking those comments and you are correcting those mistakes in future assignments. I will be posting your exam later this week. Please make sure you thoroughly review the notes and be sure to reach out to me if you have questions!

First read about the Toltecs and then create a Google Slides presentation about their culture. Be creative and follow the instructions that I have given you on the second slide. Email me if you have any questions!

Please be sure to first go over the notes before completing the activities. Mark all of your answers using the color red!

Please read the instructions, type your answers in the Google Doc where the instructions are and lastly, open up Adobe Spark and transfer your sentences there. You should have a title slide, and 3 other slides. Your slides must include your sentences and narration. If you have problems with Adobe Spark, I have attached directions on the second page of the Google Doc.

Please go over the notes. The first two sections are review notes, but the third section "leer & construir" are new notes! I am also attaching a very short video that goes over the new grammar concept. Please type in your answers using the color red! You will be having a quiz later this week on ALL of these grammar concepts as well as the 4.2 vocabulary!

You will record yourself pronouncing ALL of your 4.2 vocabulary terms in your packet. I will attach your 4.2 list below in case you have misplaced your packet. If you need help with pronunciations, I will attach a Quizlet below which allows you to click on the audio link for pronunciations.

You will be typing your answers into a Google Doc. Please type in your answers using the color red! As you are completing these activities, please use your vocabulary list to help you!

Write your own legend using a minimum of 12 vocabulary words from your 4.1 vocabulary list. You will then create an Adobe Spark presentation where you will include visuals and narration. You must include a minimum of 8 slides. Be creative! This is due: Monday, March 9th

Create an Adobe Spark presentation with 12 slides retelling the leyenda of Popo e Ixta. You must rewrite it in your own words in Spanish and also include visuals and narration for your slides. Be creative!

Students received a list of terms they need to act out in groups of up to four or individually.

In groups of 3 or four, take turns asking questions using the formula: ¿Cuánto tiemp hace que...? You must answer each question using the format Hace + time+que+verb. Each person in the group must ask at least one question and answer at least one question in your video. Please submit only one video with all members of the group in it.

If you wish to earn extra credit over the break, you have the opportunity to choose a 1-3 minute clip from any sport footage and you will pretend to be a sports broadcaster/commentator. Your goal is to use VARIED vocabulary from 2.1 and 2.2. You will need to get creative! Use phrases like "Dale" and "metió el balón" etc. There is a way to mute audio and record your voice over a video. It would be best if you could find footage that has already been muted. When done, please submit your video here on Google Classroom!

Work in groups of up to 4 people. Pick 8 of the Reflexive Verbs in your Vocabulary List and act them out. You must have equal participation in the video. Edit the video to include the reflexive verbs and the reflexive pronouns in the video. For example, if you act out yourself sleeping, then you would edit the video to type in "Me duermo" and if it is plural you can either use "Se duermen" or "Nos dormimos"

You can work individually or in a group (max=4). If you are working in a group, at some point, I must see all of you in the video. You will need to show 12 visual representations illustrating all of the Demonstrative Adjectives we learned (see the first chart in your notes). You will need to show a different noun for each demonstrative adjective. Make sure that you are sure to visually show how far away the noun is from the person filming. For example, if you say "esta manzana" you must show the apple zoomed in up close versus if you say "aquella manzana" then it needs to be very far away. You will need to include the text on your video. Also, beware that some of your nouns will be singular and some will be plural.

In groups of 3, act out or use the three words assigned to you in a dialogue. Your goal is to clearly get across the meaning of each of those words. Use your creativity to complete this activity!

1. Join a group with a total of 4 students
2. Each student picks 2 different vocabulary terms from the new list
3. Choose 1 person from the group to edit your video & compile all the videos into only 1 video. You will be using only that person's phone to record
4. Plan what you are going to say/act out & incorporate with editing
5. Get the phone and a blue pass and go outside to record
6. Return to class and start working on 1.1 Vocabulary Squares
7. Submit video by Friday before midnight! Top video will get a homework pass (cannot be used on packets or vocab squares) Before leaving today, you MUST finish recording. You can edit at home.

Create an Adobe Spark presentation and submit on Google Classroom. Follow the instructions on the sheet that was passed out in class.
