The James L. Warner Scholarship is now open! To be eligible Student must have attended a high school in the Whittier Union High School District for four consecutive years, must plan to attend one of the following colleges: Pomona College, Whittier College, University of Southern California, Stanford University or any campus of the University of California and must have financial need.  See the flyer on the side panel for more information. The Cathay Bank Foundation has opened their 2019 scholarship application.  To apply students must have an unweighted, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher and have a "household income at or below the Low Income Level".  Go to http://apcf.org/2019-cathay-bank-scholarship-program

The California-Hawaii Elks Major Project, Inc has announced their 2019 scholarship for students with disabilities. To be eligible students must be a US citizen a resident of California (or Hawaii), be a senior in high school, plan to attend a community, vocational or four-year college next year and demonstrate financial need. Student must also have a physical, neurological, visual, hearing impairment and/or speech-language disorder in order to apply. Application are available at www.chea-elks.org/youth-activities/scholarships Applications are due by April 1st. See the attached flyer for more information.

 

The Laura Christine Allen Scholarship is now open.  To be eligible you must be a female, graduating senior who has participated in at least two years (including senior year).  The scholarship application is available in Z6 or on the side panel.  Applications are due April 5th.

 

If you had a parent or Grandparent graduate from CalHi, you are eligible to apply to the Legacy Scholarship.  See the flyer on the side panel for more information.

 

Stanford has a summer pre-collegiate program for students in grades 8-12. For more information and to apply go to spcs.stanford.edu/find-yourself 

 

The Italian Catholic Federation is offering a scholarship for students with a least a 3.2 Cummulative GPA who are ROMAN CATHOLIC and of Italian Descent.  Interested students should go to www.icf.org for more information.  The application is due March 15, 2019.

Interested in serving in our nations Navy or Marine Corps?  Want to attend a four year university on a full scholarship?  Apply for the Naval Officers Triaing Corps Marine Option Scholarship.  Applicant must be a US citizen, within the Marine Corp height and weight standards, nor previous drug/alcohol involvement, be at least 17 but no older than 23 by Dec 31st of the year you start college, and have an SAT score or at least 1000 or an ACT score of at least 22.  See the side flyer for more information or contact SSGT Justine Triplett at Justin.triplett@marines.usmc.mil

FIDM's National Scholarship Competition has been announced!  Eight full one-year scholarships worth $31,500 will be awarded. Rhode Island School of Design is offering a pre-college program, June 22-Aug 3, 2019.  The program is open to all high school students who have completed either their sophomore or junior year.  Visit precollege.risd.edu for more information.

 

Columbia College Hollywood is offering summer programs in animation, digital film production, graphic design, music production and screenwriting.  Two sessions are offered starting July 8 and July 22.  See the flyer on the side panel for more information or go to columbiacollege.edu/summerprogram

Azusa Pacific University School of Music offers scholarships for all instruments and voice.  Audition date is March 15, 2019.  Undergraduate programs include commercial music, composition, music and worship, music education, performance and music.  Go to www.apu.edu/music/auditions for more information.

 

Washington University in St. Louis offers a summer program.  Sessions are available June 9 - August 3.  To be eligible for the Scholars Program you must be a sophomore or junior in high school with a 3.3 or higher GPA and an SAT of 1200 or an ACT of 25.  Summer Courses outside of the scholars program include Pre-medical, Pre-engineering, creative writing, Humanities, Global Leadership, Environmental Studies, Philosophy Neuroscience and Psychology, and Young Leaders.  To be eligible for these classes you must be a freshman - sophomore with a 3.3 GPA.   Visit summerexperiences.wustl.edu The application deadline is April 1, 2019
