Champion Athletic Programs Produce Competitive Scholars

Whittier Union is home to champion athletic teams that train, practice and compete in state-of-the-art facilities – including 7,000-seat stadiums, revamped volleyball, basketball and tennis courts, football, baseball, softball and soccer fields, an Olympic-sized pool, all-weather tracks and air-conditioned gymnasiums.

Student-athletes and coaches have been named athletes and coaches of the year by the Whittier Daily News for leading their respective teams to victory, competing in the Del Rio and 605 leagues and clinching historic CIF championships.

The comprehensive high schools offer a wide range of athletics, including football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, volleyball, cross country, golf, track and field, swimming, water polo, wrestling and tennis.

Students have garnered college scholarships for their athletic accomplishments at some of the best colleges and universities in the nation.
