CHS VAPA Scholar Award Information

Deadline to submit application: Graduating seniors may complete this form to apply for VAPA Scholar Award eligibility. Deadline to submit this form is February 7, 2025. Applicants will be notified by March 10, 2025 if they are eligible for the award or not.

Award Requirements:

Applicant must be in good standing satisfying all graduation requirements
Applicant must have attended CHS their entire junior and senior year
Applicant must have an overall weighted cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher for BLUE AWARD OR an overall weighted cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher for GOLD AWARD
Applicant must have completed 50 or more Visual and/or Performing Art credits with a “B” or better in each for BLUE AWARD OR must have completed 60 or more Visual and/or Performing Art credits with an “A” or better in each for the GOLD AWARD
5 VAPA credits must have been completed each semester of senior year. Only full-year enrollment in courses is accepted in the senior year.
“Academic Mentor” for a VAPA class (6119VP) can count for up to 10 Units for BLUE AWARD OR up to 20 Units for GOLD AWARD if taken concurrently (during the same year) with a qualifying VAPA course.
Applicant must receive a recommendation from a current California High School VAPA teacher
Applicant must attach to this application a current transcript with cumulative GPA listed and completed qualifying VAPA classes highlighted
